Good looking bird Oscar Good pose and sharp with the converter !!! I like the greenish foreground very much and might try smoothing the bg so the white patches won't be as prominent The bird is strong enough that is capturing attention !! Will be watching for them next year !!!

Oscar, I have bail $$ for you as I think this is very sharp and you have captured that intense stare! Agree w/ Alfred on the BG!

Great image Oscar - sharp, beautiful color and nice feel to the scene. I love the intensity of these birds and you've
    captured that well.

Very nice, and impressively sharp with the 2X TC!
I think the setting is nice, but do find the bright spots in the BG just a bit distracting.

Does anyone else see a smiling face coming out of the water (i.e., the rock at the herons feet)?

    Hi Oscar,
I like the composition...I'm going to give you a free get out of jail card...:D My recommendation would be to tone down the whites in the background; its taking the attention from the bird...
