    Agree with the others, very nice. The DOF is very effective. I like the color in the upper mandible.

    The bird doesn't do much for me but the photo of it is great. Nice and sharp and a very complementary background. It shows your skills.

    Just a real nice image. I like the hint of pupil in the eye and the texture of the bill.

    Good comp, super pose, and you have exposed this perfectly. Sharp, and I like the soft light and colours in this. Great image Axel.

    Axel, You mananged to capture amazing detail on this little guy, and I really like the pose. I wonder if you could share how you determine where your picture is level in a scenario such as this? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Marina! In this case I paid attention to the posture of the the bird to prevent the appearance that he might 'tip over'.
