This capture was unexpected, is full frame from top to bottom with a crop on the left side. I was working on capturing images of an egret on the ground while also trying to keep the deeply shaded background as dark as possible, when I noticed another bird swooping in. I like the way the inside wing feathers seem to be standing on end on the egret on the ground, and there are things I like about this shot, but it doesn't seem to be pleasing composed. I'm wondering if adding some space to the top and right side would be helpful?

    Thank you,
    Graham

I like the idea and interaction but it is too tight in the frame for my taste and the BG too dark.

I really like the dark BG, it looks elegant. I'd add some to the top for sure maybe on both sides as well.

Thanks Alex and Jim, I added some canvas on three sides, and I think it looks better.
