Assignment Blur

This was taken at Walla Walla, Wa. during the hot air balloon festival about a week ago. The Night Glow event seemed a perfect time to try a blur. 50D, 17/40 zoom, .5sec, f/8 and 1600ISO. It looks like I started at 40mm and zoomed out to 17. I could not find the assignment so hope I am onside.
