    Beautiful light and I love the ethereal background. Great use of the shallow plane of focus.

    Well, Thomas, you rocked that one, didn't you? Man...that is drop dead gorgeous! The composition and the lighting don't even take second place to the beautiful butterfly - it's all first rate.

    My one suggestion if you want one is to think about cloning the line running through the body/wings of the butterfly. I'm sure it's a backlit stem but it does distract from the butterfly just a tiny bit.

    This is one superiorly designed photo. Love the way you captured the light.

    Ditto to the comments above. I really like the monochromatic nature of the shot, as well. Very cool.

    Finally the butterflies begins to appear her in the cold north!
    And Julie,I agree on the shadow from the stem.But I clone very little
    in my pictures and only if it's absolutely necessary.Maybe I'll make a new version
    later on.
