I like the calling pose and outstretched wing. Not crazy about the light (or lack of) on the bird as it is almost completely in shadow and looking dark. This would have looked better as a vertical or square composition with more room above and below (where you also have a clipped toe).

I like the pose and open bill. The whites look a bit gray and I would prefer a wider crop including the toe and remove the little branch in the lower right. Is this full frame?

nice pose Stuart.....looks like you cloned out the perch completely
or did it stop ther abruptly. Agree about gray/blue colorcast.

does this look more natural on your monitor?
