    Default Dunlin and Western Sandpiper

This was taken about three weeks ago in Boundary Bay, BC. As you can see the morning tide is running out. 50D, 400mm/5.6 at f/8, 1/750, ISO 400, EC+1. Head angle is not the greatest, however as the dunlin is feeding I thought it may be acceptable.

Dave, lovely low angle, and I like the light in this. The front sandpiper is nice and sharp. Comp wise, I would crop just below the reflection, take a bit off the top and right, and lose the OOF sandpiper.

Great angle well captured and good detail. Ditto Stu on comp and would also remove the second bird as it's OOF

I like the light, the calm water, and the reflections, Dave. I would suggest cropping off the bottom for more of a pano look and (just to be different) I would leave in the second bird. :) There appears to be a sharpening halo around parts of the dunlin.

Thanks for comments guys. I kind of like that second bird. The pano crop would help get rid of dead space for sure. Thanks Steve for pointing out the halo. It's a problem I have.
