    One more from yesterday morning.

Images made using my Canon 30D; Sigma 150mm macro lens; Canon 430 EX Flash w/ LumiQuest Softbox mounted on a flexible flash bracket; tripod-mounted w/ Novoflex Focusing Rail. Conditions were breezy and exposures long so I used a McClamp to steady the flower. Background is a stream. Conditions were overcast.

    Ed,

I like the composition with the dark background, the two open flowers at the power points and the combination of open and closed bulbs. The depth of field works well with the two open flowers in sharp focus. Well done.

There are two things that really add to this picture. The backgroud and the two unopened flowers.

Hey Ed, I like the comp on this one. Good details and BG. Well done.

Another beauty...wouldn't mind seeing a little more sharpness on the front flower but it's nice as presented.
