What a stare. I like the framing of the squirrel, together with his arm on his chest. This is amazingly sharp Artie, showing good detail throughout. I would maybe tone down the tree a bit, as I feel it would make the squirrel pop even more.

I really like the inquisitive pose and the sharpness too. The BG is a beautiful colour. All the focus seems to go right to those dark brown eyes:) FF I would guess.

I agree about toning down the tree.

    Lovely critter.

Excellent pose, Artie. Where is Nonda lately?

I used a curves adjustment layer to tone down the tree. To bring out the details in the squirrel a bit more, I used a selective color adjustment layer. In the neutrals, just increase black levels a bit.

Thanks David, While the tree is overdone--it was a light grey--the squirrel is mega!

    Do I know Nonda?

I must admit I like the repost better. considering the location of the image I'll bet the squirrel is singing "Oh Canada"!

The like the pose a lot and the repost of the squirrel is an improvement, IMO as I thought the original was a bit light (unless this squirrel is a lot different in color than what I'm used to seeing). The 2-tone nose/forehead area looks like this guy (gal ?) is molting out of its winter coat into its summer duds.

Neat pose. I also like the framing of the tree branches.
