I took that image in the first morning light on the Greek Island of Lesbos.
Mark III / Canon 500mm + 2 x TC
1/400 sec / f 6.3 / ISO 500
+ 2/3 Exp corr.
Am not sure about two things:
what about the slightly raised foot? A Plus or disturbing?
What about the two small flies in the picture? Telling a story or disturbing?
I have images without the raised foot and could of course clone out the flies.

I am fine with the raised foot but would lose the flies. Any idea as to species anyone???
I would go with an all-black SILH; your version shows some detail on the dark side. Raising the camera a bit would likely have helped as the water above the bird is more interesting than the water below. Love the ripples and the color.

A beautiful image. I don't mind the raised foot but, like Arthur said, would clone out the flies and some other distractions on the water. I would also crop some off the bottom.
