Took this image at Point Pelee last Wednesday. Slight crop to eliminate some clutter in the background.

    Monte:

Glad you had some luck at Point Pelee.

Great calling pose. Perch is right size for this fellow. I would be tempted to darken the background a bit. It tends to overpower the bird a bit. I might consider cropping in from the right and up from the bottom to emphasize the bird more.

    Good to see you posting.

    Cheers

    Monte:

I did a little work on this one. The yellows were a bit hot, so pulled down that channel. Set the black point and cropped. The size of the image I was working with limited what I could do, but with your raw file, I think you could make some adjustments to improve it further.

It helps to post the largest file you can so reposters have more to work with!

    Cheers

    Randy

Good job just getting one of these to sit still for 1/250 of a second and to catch him in the open. Very tough shot to get. I do agree with a tighter crop. Nice bonus to get him singing

Lovely calling pose and I like the sweep of the perch. Randy's suggestion is good and the repost illustrates it well.

Thanks for the comments, Randy like what you did. Artie there were not many birds, a front was rollling through.

Thanks Monte, I am glad to learn that a huge fallout did not immediately follow my departure...
