    Hi all,

Many thanks to those who commented on my second posting ofthe Osprey with fish.

This is another image from Jim Neiger's workshop on Lake Blue Cypress Lake. I have lots of Ospreys in flight, but this one had full lock on with both eyes on our boat. Very please with the image.
Nikon D3, 500 f4 Mk11, 1/1250th @f8 ISO 800 Raw image, manual exposure setting. Toned down some highlights on the leading edge of the left wing.

    Comments please

Superb eye contact, feather details and I like the diagonal comp. I can see why you're pleased with this one, Michael. Would be a little nicer with the bird's right wing fully extended but the aerodynamics to achieve the sideslipping pose preclude this. DOF covers the bird perfectly.

Great eye contact and sharpness. I think this image would benefit from a contrast boost and also some darkening of the area around the eyes.

    Michael,
Very impressive -- the eye contact is perfect and you caught the right moment to have super lighting with minimal shadows. Thanks for sharing.
