    Taken earlier today... Settings are -

    40D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 363mm
    1/1000 sec, f/8 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: +2/3 ISO: 400,

    Selective sharpening and applied curves to open up the blacks. C&C will be appreciated.

    Nice details and colours - looks a little soft - maybe a big crop or maybe just some tweaking of sharpening needed. Would have been a little nicer to catch it just before it passed you rather than just after.

    Thanks Tony, this is almost full frame. I did not get a good a wing position for the previous frames. Well, next time! I did some selective sharpening to avoid the artifects that was showing up earlier. Here is a repost with two pass usm (180/.3/1, 140,.2,0).

    Indranil, your repost is much better, well done. I like the detail on the wing, and good job on the eye. When sharpening, be careful of halo's which are now evident around the beak and front of the wing.
