    This is one in a family of six goslings I have been watching mature -- not often separated from the other siblings. I think this baby is about half-fledged. Hard to imagine it as a great big Canada Goose, which it will be before so very long. Cropped about 50%, then minimally tweaked and sharpened.

    Sure look different from the adult bird !!! I like the low angle and relaxed pose

    ... just thought one reason to get closer to the bird besides not having to crop that much ... dof As you get closer the dof diminishes and will give you a softer bg !!!

    Wendell, very nice image. I like how he's watching you! Looks to me like the BG could use a bit of noise reduction.

    held up well to the crop, wendell. do i see a color cast in this one. cant put my finger on it, but may be blue? the low angle is perfect!
