One image I was not so sure to upload since there is no eye contact.

This gray hawk was hunting and thus flying very fast.
I would like to hear what the pros have to say...

    Juan:

Well, I don't fall into the "pro" category, but IMHO this one doesn't work for me, at least.

The angle of the bird, and the light angle conspire against it. There is some nice detail under the wings, but not enough to overcome the other issues.

I tend to be fairly conventional with my images, so perhaps some of our OOTB thinking folks will chime in.

    Thanks for posting.

Eye contact is a must to tie the viewer to the bird and the fact that he is flying away does not help

Juan, Im no pro either, but captured at different angles, we see different detail. In this, we see how the legs and feet are tucked away neatly beneath the tail, and I like the detail from the belly and underwing. As for the eye contact, he's flying away. At best, I would remove the vegetation LLC.

I definitely prefer eye contact for flight images Juan. If the bird were chasing something that you could see, this perspective might work. I agree about removing the vegetation, and I'd run Shadows/Highlights on the bird to bring out more shadow detail; I'd use a bit more + EC next time.
