Lovely BG Dave, and the exposure looks great on your bird with good HA. Just wondering if it needs a wee bit more sharpening? Anyways looks like you had a gold mine of opportunities iin TX:)

Hi Dave. I like the pose and perch. I think you could push the exposure a bit to the right but it looks pretty good as presented. The bird feels a little tight in the frame and I might consider something other than a square crop. The blue sky tends to catch my eye. Here's a repost that brightens and sharpens the bird. Don't have time to fix the blue area right now.

Great pose and great looking flycatcher!

Doug's repost is fine but I guess the image needs some extra noise reduction (on BG only)

    Lovely BG and colors.

Very nice catch if tight. Love the detail and the catch light is a big plus. That is some big bill for a little bird!

Thanks for the work on the repost Doug. I'll hit it with a bit of sharpening.

Looks like if he straightened up he would be out of the picture. Not sure if you have more room or tried a vertical crop to get more room at the top. The bird itself is colorful and very sharp. I like that the bird is at the very end of the perch so the perch does not hide the tail.

If you can, a bit more room to the left would look better IMO, repost brightness looks better, I like the pose, soft light, detail, BG and colors. Congratulations!
