Last weekend, while the fires were burning in Santa Barbara, we camped at Cachuma Lake. The fires kept people away and we had the place pretty much to ourselves. This was taken on Friday night, which was the peak time of the fire. I thought the red glow over the hills made it look like a volcano.
This was a 10 second exposure using the 50mm f/1.8 "plastic toy lens" at f/8.
Great shot Kerry. I've camped there in the past and have always enjoyed it. I have relatives that live in Santa Barbara and had to evacuate for a few days. BTW, I met you at Satwiwa a couple of weeks ago and since then I did order and receive my Beamer.
