I would be interested in hearing of any experiences with Nik Dfine. In the past it seemed popular with Nikon users--Laurie Excell spoke positively about it one year at Bosque.

I ordered it. Let you know when I try it.
Rocky ... is downloading the trial a pun on words :)

I've had it for 7 months and like it. It can automatically determine an amount of noise reduction, you can manually select a region to determine the noise reduction, or load noise reduction parameters for a particular camera and ISO setting. It also has some nice internal masking features for selectively applying the NR. You can download it and try it before buying it.

Nik dfine is my default noise reduction product, Nik Sharpener is my default sharpening tool and I also love Nik Silver Efex Pro. In short, I love the company and their products. Look for bundled deals. These products all work MUCH faster on a Mac Pro than they ever did on a 1.8 Ghz dual Power Mac. When I used them on that platform, I respected the results, but was frustrated by the wait.
