From Little Estero Lagoon late afternoon a straight motion blur. Just need to pan with the bird smoothly. For these select as low a shutter speed as you can get away with and still come up with a sharp head area.... btw for this one I sure wished that bird had its feet sticking back ... same pose for all adjacent frames !!!
    Comments welcome and much appreciated

I like the forward blurred brushed motion. The orange tones and hues in the background is nice...good show Mr. Forns...

Nice work, great panning skill, the contrast of sharp head vs.
    blurred wings is amazing...
One question: I would guess you use single sensor to AF
on the head when panning vs. multiple when taking flight shots?
    Am I right?
What are the best strategies in these two situations?

I use mostly the single center sensor only. Even with clean bg stay with the center, just a mater of habit but find it more accurate.

..... btw the color of the water comes from condominium reflections, one of the great things about the laggon, can pick your color by moving a few yards !!!

Would have been killer to have the feet more prominent forward or aft Al, but the sharpness on the face and the BG are splendid:)
