    Default Another RWBB

I think all over the country we are seeing RWBB right now. This one is a bit ragged,
having been chased around constantly by a male for about 2 hours with only short
time outs. But I like the ragged look

    cropped pretty hard, 400mm w/1.4x, ISO 400, 1/160, f.8, +.67EV
Thanks for looking in and continued c/c

Love the BG Dave, and the open beak. Your pics always look so super sharp. Looks VG for a large crop, and the lighter BG looks nice with your darker bird.

    Dave:

She does look a bit ruffled! Excellent exposure, good DOF, sharp. Nice composition and pose.

My only minor concern is the brightness of the background, esp. to her left. Wouldn't take much of a reduction to balance it out IMHO.

    Is she calling, or panting?

    cheers

    Randy

    Dave:

Just a minor tweak in background brightness. Really a matter of taste, but I think it keeps the attention on the bird more.

Love the feather look and detail Dave Excellent singing pose and head position Do like the light colored bg but would like the left at about the same density as the left !!! I like it a lot !!!

I love the pose, she looks exhausted!!! I hope she decided to establish a nest, for her own sake :)
    Great detail and neat BG.

Excellent comp, pose, atitude, detail, soft light, BG, colors and exposure, I would only brighten the eye just a little bit more. Big congratulations!

Super comp, and you have captured sharp feather detail in this. Well timed to show the open beak.

Dave, Super capture! Love the Comp, the BG is over the top and if you could have convinced the model to show ready it would be an extra!!! Bob

I like the soft light, details and the open bill adds to it. I like the darker BG.

You forgot to include your camera model, it sounds like it's a MKIII.

Beautiful image, love the bg and compo. This female is really nice. Randy's repost is right on.
