    Filomena:

A good looking Junco. I have always thought they were attractive birds.

Sharp with nice head angle. I think it is a bit underexposed, and could stand to be brightened up just a bit.

I might consider cropping in about 1/2 to the upright twig, since the bird is looking back to the right. Also would crop a bit down from the top.

I might consider doing a little pruning also, mainly the small twigs.

Please also post your camera and lens details, it helps in providing feedback. Every camera lens combination behaves a bit differently, and can influence the best options for settings , etc.

    Thanks for sharing.

I like the composition very much, except for the bransh in the BG, close to the tail. Agree it could go a little lighter but you are definitely on the right track!

Good suggestions above. I would also sharpen a little more.

Nice one, Filomena. There are many ways to brighten, some better than others for this image. Here's what I did: On the breast, set the white point at 237.237/237 (on the dot). On the face, set black point at 10.10.10 (dot). I also applied shadow/highlight around the eye to open those shadow details up just a bit. And sharpened with an edge mask. Some of the cloning suggestions I would also follow if playing for keeps.

Agree with Doug on a little more sharpening. Just a little dark, but lovely pose and nice colour palette.
