These two were going at it, but definitely with rules. There was even a larger referee that would butt in and get things sorted out. Kinda funny to watch. Masai Mara, Kenya

What great action in beautiful setting. Soft light and seeing the eye on both is the icing in the cake.
Glad you had a productive trip :)

Nice interaction. I really like the scale the BG trees/grasses provides.

    THIS IS AFRICA!

You have perfectly captured the essence of the Kenyan Plains with this one. I just wonder if a little more off the top would make it better still, as it would emphasise the "wide open" factor.

The inclusion of the environment and the sense of scale makes this. Perhaps a tad less from the right.

I'm 100% with Ken here...great to see something more environmental...the space around it really adds to the photograph as it brings me to the plains of Africa. Nice. Perhaps a slightly wider approach would have worked even better.

I like the light in this, and great interaction captured between the two. Yep, this is Africa at its best. Great image Paul.

Hi Paul: I am so envious! There have been many posts from Africa, but so far I don't remember any of young elephants at play. What a moment you have captured here. I personally like the crop you have chosen. I like the various greens and blues at play here very much like the trees in the BG which add great depth. The behavior and light are kickers! Looking forward to more.

    This is really exceptional.
Beautifully composed and graceful dramatic action all at once.
The setting is elegant, with colors across a good part of the spectrum.
Titans 'clashing' in a majestic tapestry -- does it get any better?

I like the action a lot. However I vote with those who want a crop from the top. Perhaps down to just above the tree tops.

Thanks everyone, I think I got every single suggestion on how to change this, so I'm keeping it as is as a compromise. =) I got, take off the right, wider, tighter, pano, take of the bottom and take off the top.

Great shot Paul! I like it as is but I would remove the tuft of green grass along the right edge!

    Paul,
I like this image. In fact when I first saw your lion photo, I was expecting something like this. This is a landscape artist at work. I like the inclusion of the habitat. The plains above the tree lines gives a good impression of the huge plains. The soft side lighting has brought out the form of the elephants nicely. The open eyes puts it over the top. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
