    Default Red-winged Blackbird

I photographed this female at a lake yesterday. She was very attentive because a bald eagle was circling above. I liked the grass and pose in this one. The BG is water.

I love the pose and the stretched neck. The blades of grass are a refreshing element and IMO add a lot to the image.

Very nice looking female. I like your compo and BG but I guess is a bit over saturated (the bird only).

Interesting pose, quite Bittern-esque :-) Perfect exposure and sharpness. I also like the blades of grass but would clone out the OOF one touching the wingtips.

    Axel:

Striking capture. The color scheme really reminds me of the orange details on the immature male I posted recently. I suspect the saturation is pretty close to reality as is. Wonderful comp.

The grass blades are a very nice touch, interesting pose, and thanks for the back story.

Axel, I think this is one of my all time fav images posted on BPN. The pose is so un usual and
the visual elements all come together so well. All colors complement and harmonize so well.

Excellent composition. Love the pose and the grass pointing in the same direction.

Axel, nicely framed between the two blades of grass, and love the posture to suit. Great light, colours and detail captured in this, and pin sharp too.

Very pleasing capture of a real attentive bird. Like the colors. The blades of grass add to the photo.
    Thanks for sharing....
