    I've mastered birds in flight (not!) so I've turned to bees. I was lucky to get these little guys within the DoF of my 500 with 1.4 tc attached at f6.3!

    I cloned out some OOF forsythia at LR and ran some NR on BG.

    Canon EOS 50D, 500 mm f4L x 1.4 tcII = 700 mm

    Love the three coming at the plant all at once, John! I do wish the BG were a bit lighter so we could really see those bees!

    Nice composition...an alternative would be to angle the bees so they look like they are heading up towards the flowers a bit more. Just an idea...

    I find this quite an incredible shot. Like the spotlight in the BG too.

    Hey Jihn, I seen many of these flying shots with one but first time with the whole family. Great timing and nice details.

    John, Superb timing on this and a fascinating shot. If this were mine I would remove the top buds only to accentuate the flying bees because the plants direction is leading you out of the frame.
