Having a my first born in the last few months has left me close to home, shooting what i can, when i can! This poor herring gull was a target for a few minutes last Saturday.

Hi Scoot Good looking gull !!! Sharp well exposed and lots of detail ... and love the bg !!!

Might try angling the image to lower the beak and take a little from the back to go even tighter Like the tech settings a lot !!!

Hoping to see some picture or your little one !!!! Big Congrats !!!

at first i wasn't quite sure what you meant about lowering the beak, but i think i understand what you are trying to say. i really expected to hear that the image was too tight, not go even tighter in the back!

    thanks Alfred!

Hi Scott I sort of like diagonals

Tightness wise the back of the head is not doing much for me ... beak and eye are the beautiful areas, wouldn't mind seeing them even bigger in frame !!!!

Hi Scott - lovely details - exposure looks good and love the eye contact and clean BG. Agree with AL tighter wouldn't bother me either.

    Hi Scott,
I like the composition, image and capture, you have a good head angle and clear sharp eye...the sharp details are great. I would also like to see a tighter crop...looking forward to your next one...
