The comments about eyes and ears from Art and others sent me back to my archives here is one from the next frame. It also led me to find out I was crediting the wrong reserve it was taken in Lebala, Kwando Reserve.

Also it was EOS 1D MkII not 10d.

Thanks to all I have discovered a slightly better image (I hope)

Nice Cheetah image, I really like how thew bg is the same color as the Cheetah.

Another superb portrait of this cat. Love the light and bg. Exposure and detail look good.

Love the monotone look to this. Really nice. I don't mind the shadowed eyes, but this is a lot better light than the cheetahs I got.

I like the warm colors and soft details.

Thanks for the comments, these photos are mainly down to the totally accomodating nature of the three brothers plus a wonderful guide Steve K, and of course a little luck.

Pleasing Image Ken with background complimenting the warm colours of the cheetah.

Stare and uniform colors are unusual but make a very good presentation. The ears back look like he/she is not very happy. Perhaps a little sharper would be nice?

    Ken,
Your Mark II is definitely better than the Mark I. :D

Really like the rich gold light and the clean background. Great shot.

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments, I love this picture nearly as much as I did the Cheetah in it, sadly he is now dead, but I will always have the memories.
