Another try with my 300mm F4 . A Grackle pair have been visiting my feeders this past week . I have never seen them around my feeders before. Lighting wasn't that bad , im still practicing manual settings and checking my histogram . So heres what i was able to capture.

it "can" be difficult....crooked lines and pattern repetitions are the telltale signs. Use a hard enough
brush for good detail and do edge cleanup last after the reconstruction. One often overlooked tool
is the patch tool that Artie often makes reference to.

Keep at it, still a wonderful image of what can be a difficult bird

Glenn, Nice looking details and pose. I might take a hair off the top. I'd like to see you repost with the tail reworked-might be worth the time for this one!!!

OK im working on a redo and i will remove about a inch of the top as suggested, as for the BG Alfred do you mean setting up a perch with no branches to interfere ?

a huge improvement Glenn....the more you do the repair work, the easier it gets.
Make a habit of studying and looking for repairs/cloning/patching in other images
and soon you will see what should be obvious defects......if they were a bit sloppy
