I loved the interaction between these two, the gull just hovering and hoping. One of the few times I was allowed to leave the vehicle. I used my patented "serpentine" approach to get closer to this Fish Eagle, supposedly a flighty bird. My guide was impressed with how close I got. This guy was eating the remains of a Lesser Flamingo. I got closer but liked the whole scene here.

I like the DOF in this, and super comp with the two in front, and the OOF flamingo's in the BG. Hopefully the grey headed gull knew not to tangle with a fish eagle. Where was this taken Paul.
Pretty neat scene, must have been fun to "snake" your way closer :-) I would go even ,ore panoramic by cropping out about half the darker band at top. Looks like you had a great trip!
Hey Paul, when I was a little lad, ( before WW1 ) LOL, we used to live near lake Nakuru. WOW, if only I was still there now. We lived in the town of Nakuru, but cant remember how far the lake was. OK, after WW1 and WW2, and ...
What a wonderful spot Paul. Lake Nakuru was one of the highlights for us and this image is a beautiful composition with the added touch of the flamingos in the BG. Love it.
I really like the composition and interaction. I agree on a crop off the top and bottom, a little bit CCW rotation and some more sharpening of the two birds. I hope you post some more in this series.
Super capture Paul, it looks like you had a great trip.
I like the way the environment is captured in the shot without being a distraction and the story telling makes it a winner in my view. It captures and says so much more than just a portrait IMO.
