Not sure if this image would work with everybody. It is a pretty abstract one. And an experimental work for me.
Have begun experimenting with in-camera multiple exposures. In this image, I tried 2 exposure with the 1st one keeping the front petal in focus & then the next frame with the rear petal in focus. The camera's multiple exposure option combined the two to give this output as single frame.

    Techs:
Nikon D300, Nikkor 105mm VR micro, tripod
    f/4, 1/320, ISO200, In-camera multiple exposure (2 frames)
Bit of cropping & some minor adjustments with curves and saturation.

Would love to know your views, critiques & suggestions. Plan to experiment more with this in near future.

Works for me Kaushik. Has an ethereal quality to it. Very beautiful.

Works for me, too. Love the soft, muted colors...especially like that they are soft without being "muddy" at all. The touches of yellow and green really add to the frame...without them I think it would really struggle to hold my attention but this really works.

Very nice. It works for me too. I like the effect of 2 focal points. Well balanced and beautiful soft light.

What a great idea! I like the image--the soft color goes well with the shallow dof.
