    Made this image Saturday afternoon at Middle Creek WMA. I would have liked the sun at my back here, and a slightly higher vantage point, but you are very limited on where you can go. I was right up against the wire fence, (single strand) they use to mark the boundary where humans can't go any further.



    Canon 1DmkIIn, 700mm, ISO 400, 1/500 at f5.6, Manual Exposure, Manual Fill at 1/4 power, Tripod. Cropped from horizontal to vertical.

    I would have to say that you did quite well here with the soft backlight. Love the bent mullein perch, the singing pose, the perfect EXP, and the sharpness. Way to go.

    Looks good to me. I might trim a little canvas off the top of the frame.
