Taken in a small nature reserve close to Pretoria, South Africa. This was taken a few years back, and I have re edited this with minor pp work.

Great moment. I missed something similar due to low light and limited dof. It looks like with f8 you my have it covered. I ight tone down the white patch of grass and call it good. I bet it would be a strong bw too.

    Hi Stuart,
I like the sharp clarity of this one. Nice detail in the mom's eyes although I might slightly darken her left as it seems it's in shadow and should be less defined than the right. Nice pose and colors, detail in the fur is great, and the BG is nicely smoothed yet I'm still able to see some detail. Nice job.

    Stuart,
Another great shot, great expression on the foal, and just to prove it is wild some errant grass.

    Stuart,
Great expression. I like this one. The dof is nice and the details in the fur is good. I am wondering how the white stripes on the Zebra are not white but a bit orange colour.

    Cheers,

In addition to the plusses above I like that the grasses above the little one mimic its mane in pattern and texture. The eyes look perfectly natural to me.

Great moment captured. The choice of framing for this works well.

    Sabyasachi,

The commonest breed Burchells vary significantly in colour they are more yellow the farther south you go.

Awesome image here Stu! Lovely interaction and all technicals handled well! Good DOF, no harsh shadows and super sharp detail. I bet this would be good with a high contrast B&W conversion. Super stuff well done!

Can't get much better than this one Stuart. Composition, technique and of course subject. The little "smile" on the little guy's face really gives a nice touch.

Wow, Stuart. This picture is tac sharp and I love the flared nostrils and of course, the kicker, the smooch. The grasses work well together and the color combinations just make this capture pop. Congrats and thank you for sharing. It can be fun to go back and work on older pictures with newer technology!
