Default Watering Hole - Part 2 of Exposes - Chimp Hit the Bottle

This is the second in a series of exposés  on the exploits of the Chimps at Lion Country Safari, in West Palm Beach, Florida, which was filmed (digitally) this past week.

Like the younger chimp posted earlier, this leader of the pack has a liking for hitting the juice. Just one of their many human like traits! Like linus, they also rely on their security blanket (shown here) for comfort when they get a little too tipsy! :D

We have been going since we got down here in 2000. Love it and enjoy the unique adventures that regularily unfold. Mating season is especially interesting, such as when the Rhinos do it!

They are doing a lot of updating, following the hurricanes of late. I find it more interesting then the zoo shooting, as the animals appear to be more at ease with their environment.

It can be very humorous and also very profitable photo wise.

Biggest disappointment is that the lions are now behind a fence, so good images though not impossible are a lot harder to get. Lighting has to be perfect and DOF has to be minimum, with the lion as far from the fence as possible. I've gotten a few good images, but it is very much hit and miss.

Entry gates are open from 9:30 to 4:30 and it closes at 5:30+/-. Takes about 1 1/2 hours for us to normally get though. Weekends can be hectic, due to the families coming there in mass.

Go for it and good luck! ;)

Yes, but remember how long it will be on the island, or in the landfill!

Paper cup would have been better!
