    Default Brown Hare

    Hi

As usual I have spent quite a bit of time this year photographing brown hares. I had this one running straight at me this week (which makes a change). Added a little canvas to the photo as it was too full frame!

    Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens at ISO400 at F8 +0.33EV at 1000s

    Cheers

    Rich,
The eyes, long whiskers and the big ears look nice.

Lovely low angle as if he is going to run over you. Great light, colours and detail on the hare, and well timed to capture the feet off the grass. Well captured Rich.

This is superb, it says everything you need to know, about a Brown Hare. Amazing sharpness for a running towards you shot, the eyes are very very good. You should enter it in the BBC competition from the "Countryside File" (The nature programme with John Craven on Sunday morning).

Many thanks for the replies and comments.

Ken I would love to enter it into the Countryfile Photo competition, however I did win last year and also something associated with this years competition may be being arranged by the BBC which means I won't be able to enter anyway.

    Cheers

Way too cool. Did he think that you were a carrot? Amazing sharpness on the eyes. What focusing sensor(s)???

Thanks for the comments. I always knew that carrot suit would come in useful for something. The photo was taken using the centre focusing point.

    cheers

A terrific action pose and very sharp. My only minor comment is that I note some repeating patterns in the grass at the bottom where you added canvas - a few tweaks would take care of that. Well done.
