    Default Pheasant

    Hi

I was out photographing brown hares again and came across this pheasant which was ocassionally bursting into their explosive wing flapping call.

    Taken with 1DMK3 and 500mm lens at ISO400 F5.6 at 1/1000s

    Cheers

    Nicely done Rich,

Even at 1/1000 there is movement in the birds wings which really adds to this picture.

    Cheers

wow, this is formidable! Love the motion in the wings and the way the tail and wings mimic each other. Lovely colors too.

Super pose, colours, and love the chaotic tail. Lovely low angle too.

Great action on a super species! I wish it didn't look like it was in somebody's backyard (grass).

Great job of framing and of getting the head sharp.

Many thanks for the replies and comments. I would have preferred the bird on slightly longer grass but such is life.

    Cheers
