    Default angry woodie

Went down to the Charles today to test out my new bushhawk but nothing was flying . I found this Drake Wood Duck protecting his turf from the local mallards though

    Nikon D3 with 400mm2.8 ISO 560 !/1500 and f5.6

Neat image of this behavior. Needs a CW rotation and a pano crop would make this one sing. I like the soft colors in the water against the dark bird.

Nice pose and colors. Maybe a touch hot on the whites?

What are you're first impressions of the new Bushhawk?

Great pose and details. Agree on CW rotation and would crop a bit off the top. I would also apply some NR on the BG.

Great action, I would recommend selectively darkening the background for more contrast, it looks a little thin and hazy on my PC.

400/2.8 on a Bushhawk? Wow, you must have strong arms. Great pose, would love to see this at a lower angle.
