    Default Common Goldeneye (hen)

A few more days of the muted tones of the female duck species and I'll move onto the more colorful males. I really like these whistlers! (hope thats not a name for a bird that resides in Florida) ;)
Anyways, without further adieu.... the hen Common Goldeneye.

P.S. I think I need about two degrees of CCW rotation.

Mike, I've totally enjoyed your female duck series. They are so often overlooked, you have made them shine with your attention to fine detail. In each image, your backgrounds are the perfect compliment to your subject.

beautiful bird, mike! not sure if you were kidding about the rotation, but i came up with .77 degrees of CW going from eye to eye. only problem.....which eye do you choose!!!! my eye couldnt tell anyways. i like it as is. cant wait to see the males.

Great angle, details and eye contact. I might crop a bit off the bottom and am wondering if the iris needs some darkening.

Nice low shot and duck looks sharp. I lined up the real eye with the reflected eye and it looks just a bit off.

What's going on with the males????? :p:D

You got yourself some collections, can't wait to see the counter parts!

On this one I may crop at the bottom because of the broken reflection.

Really like that toothy smile she's giving you. Nice soft colors and good detail.

Super angle, light, detail and colours captured in this Mike. Lovely angle of the head, and I like the DOF in this. Yep, great series so far. Congrats.
