    thomas, i love the mood in this one. the light is very dramatic and composition different and somewhat refreshing. thanks for sharing!

    Lovely image. Great use of DOF. I like the splashes of yellow in the BG on the right; they help explain why the bird is looking in that direction.

    I like the angle, details and composition. The fact that the bird is not facing you does not bother me here at all.

    Terrific mood and colors, I love the BG and the fact that the bird is concentrating on the flowers. You got a nice catch light that may not be there on a different head angle.

    Fantastic use of selective depth of field.

    Thomas, I like this kind of image, and I think you've executed it perfectly here in every respect. The light is fantastic!

    I agree with the thoughts of the others. For me, the low shooting angle really adds to the feeling of the image.

    Sometimes it is hard to break out of the norm, the expected. You did it beautifully here!

    Count me too in the love-the-mood camp. Wish only for a bit more room at the bottom but hard to do that without altering the wonderfully balanced COMP....
