    Chris:

The head angle is def. better on this one. Well exposed with nice detail in the near wing. Background colors are complimentary to the browns in the bird.

The eye could stand a bit more sharpening.

Although I really love the detail in the wing, it would be even better in full downstroke, which would show more of the far wing as well.

Thanks for sharing this fine looking heron.

    Cheers

    Randy

I like the light in this, with great detail on the heron. Randy is spot on wishing for the downstroke of the wing, and I would maybe take some off the top. Still, well captured Chris.

Wonderful light, details and a great complimentary bg. I agree with Randy's comments on the downstroke of the wings.

Better head angle, but agree with the others about wing position. If I had to choose, I'd go for the one with good wing position and a less than perfect head angle

    Ok Doug:

We are going to show our photoshop skills, cut the head off this one and stick it on the other one with the better wing position. No problem. :))

    Hi,Chris.
Superb pose with a dynamic backround.I really like the multicolored reflection on the top.
It makes the image much more intresting and lively in my opinion, than with a monocolored BG.

The head is much better on this one. The desired wing position has been mentioned. Love the BG and you did great on the EXP.

Thanks for all the comments. Yep I have to agree on the wing position on the previous post however I like the way the wing blend in with the water colours here. And yep I have a shot with the same head angle and the wing fully down. Thanks again everyone

Love the SHARPNESS and the HA. Did not see the first post but I do like this one. A PANO crop with some off of the bottom might strengthen it.

You are most welcome sir. I love the fact that we have so many folks from all over the globe participating. I have been to Africa many times and do not have anything one quarter as good as this one....
