    Default Klipspringer

The Klipspringer(Oreotragus Oreotragus) is a small antelope with a thick spiny coat providing protection against injury when it bumps against the rocks
Klipspringer have a restricted habitat preference, namely to very rocky environments of mountainous areas and hills.
The coarse-haired coat is variable in colour with shades of grey, yellow, brown or red, with marked white underparts, chin and lips.

I will state the obvious first, not that I think it diminishes the image, it would have been nice to have more head turn on right hand Klipspringer.

I love these rarely seen antelope , but it is always difficult to find them in range of your lens.

I still find it odd that they look "oversharpened" in most images.

Lovely shot Dave. Quite amazing the texture of their coats against the oof bg. Enjoy gc this weekend. It seems Isak and I missed each other.

Very interesting animals, they looks so fragile and sturdy at the same time. Good eye contact on the left one, too bad about the head angle on the second.

Yeah, we were looking for these guys but the guide said they are rare. I like the comp and the color contrast. Of course the head angle has been mentioned but I would still be happy with this one.

    Dave,
I have never heard of them. Thanks for the info about their coats. I would reduce the colour temperature a bit and also look at the sharpening. Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers,

Super comp, with perfect placement of them in your frame. I like the eye contact from the near one, and wish for a better angle from the other. Where did you take this Dave?
