    Default European Roller

Image taken last September, during the migration season.
Rollers come over to Israel twice a year, the first time during the nesting season (from April till late August)
then we get a second wave of migrating Rollers in September.

Superb light and Bg Danny. The perch is really nice and pin sharp. Terrific details on th eroller and very nice eye catch. Composition works for me but I would love to see this one with a litle bit of more room at the left and at the bottom. Very well done!

Nice exposure and colours of the bird, and very sharp bird and perch. The perch is interesting, but doesn't detract from the image, as some occasionally do. Good background, too, which is complemetary with/to the perch and back feathers. Re: composition - I might crop a bit off the bottom, and move the bird to the right a bit, perhaps by adding just a bit of canvas to the left. Good job.

Great light, details, perch and BG. Another vote for a slightly wider crop.

Stunning light Danny, and you have exposed the colours perfectly. I like your comp, and what wonderful detail. Congrats on an outstanding image.

Soft light and beautiful BG! I would also add canvas up top and very slightly on the left side. Congrats!

Just beautiful, Danny. I love how the background brightens in the part of the photo where the bird's head is. The perch adds interest also. Perfect sharpness.

Sure do like this one; great pose, perch, BG, and sharpness. I would like to see a crop along the lines of what Juan suggested.

Lovely image - great exposure with good detail. Really like the perch.
Would like to have a bit more room top and left.

I pretty much like it as posted especially the sharpness of those very sharp thorns.
