    I like the relaxed pose, angle and head angle and would go for a tighter crop, especially at the top.

    Hi Don,
    Love the low angle and the detail on the bird. Although I am usually a fan of tight crops I like this as presented as I feel that it emphasises the vulnerability of the little bird.

    I love the placement of the bird and the soft OOF sand surrounding him. The light blue and green at the top are nice but to my taste, too much space on top. When you crop it, you loose the colors, so I'd probably keep your crop.
    How about using a warm filter, the sand looks on the cool side.

    What do you mean by tripod cropped? Is there a missing coma?

    I like the DOF in this, and I think you have nailed the exposure nicely. The detail and sharpness, all there too. I would maybe consider more of a pano crop with this.
