Question: How can I get an idea of fair prices for used lenses I want to sell? I've found none of the same models for sale here, via Google search or at eBay. I know I could start too high and keep coming down to meet my market or list it too low and possibly get quicker sales, but "the right ballpark" is more appealing. Thanks.
Most of the current lenses should be listed an easy to find. If you have some old lenses might be a little tougher would look through Shutterbug .. might just find them there.... if not start at what you consider reasonable and adjust if you have to.
David,
I have found that you can track the sale prices of specific lenses on ebay...just put the specific lens you want to track into your watch list (as many as you can say over a 2-4 week period) wait until they sell and you will have a pretty good idea of what they are going for. Just check back into your watch list and there will be the list with sales prices.
Good Luck!
Mike
