Got this photo this morning at Brian P Park S.W. Broward County, Fl. Cute little fella kind of was just looking at me and then turned his head and I clicked the shutter. It looks like he is trying to stretch or maybe getting a different angle on things. All suggestions and comments welcomed. Cropped in PS with some post processing.
    Hope you like it!!

    Michael:
It made me laugh when I opened the image. That is a good thing. Very fun pose.

The cropping is a little tight all the way around for my tastes. Perhaps that is why he cranked his head over so much! The image seems a little cool from a color temp standpoint, at least compared to the burrowing owls that I have seen.

The background is good, except for some noise popping up.

If you have more room, try a little looser crop and warm up the image, unless this is what you were after.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Michael:

Just a little tweak on the color temp. and did a quick pass of noise reduction on the background. To my idea, it looks more life like re: colors, and the bird pops out more from the background.

Just an option for you to consider.

    Hi Mike,

The light looks a little harsh. I would remove some of the noise and would love to see a little more room at the bottom.

    Hi Mike:

What a great pose of this youngster you have captured here. Your exposure is right on the money and I like your composition, although I may well be more pleasing to the eye with a little more room all around. The repost looks better as far as noise, but I believe the temp may have been pushed a bit too much b/c the owlet's eye looks a bit neon. Maybe a temp between the two would work best.

Thank you for sharing this wonderfully quirky picture.

Very well timed, and something very different, as we are used to owls looking at us head on. I would have wished for more space, top, bottom, and right.

    Michael:

I viewed your image and my repost again this morning, and do agree with Marina, I overshot the warming up.

I still think yours is a bit too cool. If you have more room, show us a repost, it is such a cute image.
