    Default Redtail Hawk (BIF)

Taken last weekend while on an Eagle adventure in Davenport, IA. The sun was fading and it helped light up the under wings on this RTH.

Lovely posture, sharpness and light quality Mike. The eye seems a bit strange, perhaps the "second - eyelid" membrane was covering it?

Excellent pose, light and details. I'm not sure about the -2/3 EC either but it looks good. The eye looks a bit odd. Maybe a tad more room on the left.

I'm a big cheater, I use the D200 and don"t like high ISO's, so I shoot RAW and get more shutter speed by underexposing and pull that back in ACR. I jumped out of the car was hand holding a non VR lens so I was playing it safe. Call me a RAW cheat. :D:eek:

Thanks for the comments guys! :)

Very nice, the wing position is so good!

To make an already great image better, it looks like there is a slight green cast, and also select only the face and the eyes for a little USM would do wonders.

Fabs, you are the second person today trying to get me to spend $5K... unfortunately the other person wasn't my wifey poo. ;)
