    Default Gliding Snow Goose

Photographed at Middle Creek in March. Still going through some files. I liked the light shining through the feathers. The BG is a hill on the other side of the lake.

    Very nice Axel,

The image is just great, I love the fact that you've got the unique
feather texture on the side of the neck. You don't see that too often in the field,
only up-close in perfect light. HA great, wings span almost perfect diagonal...

If you push me I would say perhaps to tone down or get rid of the darkest oof trees on the
LRH corner to get more uniform BG. Also, I would experiment with temperature to get whiter bird.

    Congrats!

    Axel:

Very well exposed. Nice to show good detail in most of the whites, and still maintain some in the dark underwing areas. Agree about the strong diagonal composition.

I appreciate Ilijas comment about the background, but I think it is OOF enough to work for me. Gives some sense of the place, without being overly distracting.

    Thanks for sharing.

I'm not seeing a catchlight and the OOF background does not work for me. The bird itself is a beaut.

Very pleasing composition. Exposure looks spot on with very good details. I wouldn't change a thing.

I love the translucence of the wings and pose. BG works for me as presented.

This capture really works. I like where you have placed the bird in the frame and don't feel that the BG is a distraction. There is quite a bit of detail evident on this bird's underbelly and the light through the feathers is awesome. There is a serene feel to this picture.

Super comp, and the exposure in ths is spot on Axel. Good gliding posture with nice separation of the head. Well captured.
