Default Spoonbill from the Hooptie Deux

Here's another from Saturday With James on the Hooptie Deux. I can't recommend that trip enough, as we had tons of wonderful image opportunities.

    Canon 1DsMII, 600mm f/4, 1/1250, f/4, ISO 200, manual mode, mid-morning, tripod, standing in the water.

Love the V shape of the wings and the OOF green BG, Bib. I may raise the temp some. Sharp and lots of detail in the plumage. Glad you had a good time!

Stunning! Great pose, light and detail, BG, comp and sharpness, IMO the colors look a bit off, here's my repost if you don't mind. Congratulatinos!

    Hi Bob.
I love the colour of these birds and they contrast so well against the green BG.
Good flight angle and nice show of the wings. Cant comment on the accuracy of the colours but I do prefer the slightly toned down colour of Ramon's repost.

Great flying posture, showing great feather detail on the upturned wing. Pin sharp too. Well captured Bob.

I agree with Fabs about color temperature (Ramón´s repost looks better in that way). I like the pose, the excelent amount of details in the feathers, the eye contact and the nice BG. Good job

    Thanks all,

Ramon - thanks for the repost! I definitely see what you all said about the slight color adjustment there. Repost looks better. I'll warm this one a bit as Fabs suggested.
