This is another photo from the St. Augustine Alligator Farm workshop conducted by Al and Fabs. This one was taken late Sunday afternoon. SO many birds, so little time.

    Canon EOS 50D
    Shutter speed - 1/3200 sec
    Exposure - Manual f/5.6 ISO 400 Lens - Canon EF 100-400 Focal length - 160mm with flash

It was a great workshop. Thanks Al and Fabs.

Hi Jim Impressive capture I had a tough time tracking these guys and did not come up with many keepers !!!

I think these guys in breeding plumage are the stars of the Farm and nailing one in flight is a big deal !! Big Congrats !!!

James I think you did a great job capturing this one in flight w/ nesting material in tow!

Thanks Alfred. I did not have to recover any clipped body parts on this one.

    Hi Jim,
I agree, a very nice image of a hard to get subject, especially with the head unobstructed by the branch. I like the contrast of the bird against the dark background. Enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again.

    Jim,

Nice catch, in the three days we were there I did not get one clean shot of this species. Capturing a trip from the Home-depot is a plus.

Hi James - like the inflight action with the nesting material a big bonus. Nice breeeding plumage :)

Your whites are blown in a number of spots - you could try a multiply layer in P.S. to try and bring them into line.
Bird may also benefit from some selective sharpening.
    Looking forward to more :)
