I like the vegetaion in the lower left as it matches the leaves in the bird's beak. The vegetation helps tell a story. Not sure why I don't see any detail in whites of the left raised wing. I see detail in the whites toward the bottom of the bird. Looks like fun shooting these lovely birds

I like the pose, sharpness and the nesting material adds to it. I would tone down the highlights a bit more. There are two dust spots between the wings.

    Judy,

I like the position of the bird in the frame as well. Just got back from the farm. The light can be difficult to work with in the bird rookery.

Very nice pose and it was good to leave the tree to anchor the image. You can use the highlight multiply as described int eh Edu Forum "Saving the whites"
I like the hint of green in the wings :)
It was great to see you and Susan there!

That's such a lovely wing pose Judy! I really love the nesting material in its beak too. Well executed all around, with a well-balanced exposure and such a nice composition. Glad you had fun up there!

Great comp, and lovely landing posture captured here Judy. Pin sharp where it counts, and his building material a bonus.

I like the pose and the comp. You seem to have lost detail in both the white and dark feathers, was the light a bit harsh. I would also tone down the high lights on the bill.

Hi Judy, This is excellent, the grass in the beak with a touch of the tree showing in the bottom left work wonders, great pose and nice details. That image on the home page is simply UNREAL!
