    Hi Everyone,
    Caught this guy scoping out rabbits at the local University grounds here in Nanaimo.

    Stats:
    Canon 50D
    500mm F/4 hand held at F/8, 1/640 sec, Exposure Comp at 1 1/3

    Pretty good job with the exposure compensation, although I might have pushed it a little more to the right. Love the underwing detail. I'd lighten the iris a bit and maybe darken the sky some.

    Full wingspread at its best. Great exposure on the underwing, and agree with Doug to darken the sky.

    Steve, very nice underwing view. The image looks a bit soft to me and I see what I think is a large sharpeneing halo around the bird, especially in front.

    Hi Everyone,
    Thanks very much for your comments. It's real hard to get the eyes on this guy. Unless the light is just right they always seem to come out like two black marbles. Here are the changes as suggested. I used some blur on the background to take away a lot of the halo and darkened it somewhat. Also lightened up the eye. Still not bad for an image under 60KB.
