It's been a long time since I posted anything anywhere. My 6+ years old PowerBook finally retired. Since I am able to run new RAW management softwares on the new (but tiny) 13.3" MacBook I can check my old files. As I see I wasn't so strict to myself earlier so time to clean up of the collection to save some space on the HDDs.

This image is not a conventional shorebird image which I like but something different. I loved the frozen movement of the bathing process. I still have some challenges to make the perfect colors and tones with this glossy screen but I hope it is more or less ok.

Anyone has an idea which shorebird species it is? ;)

Your comments are more than appreciated.

    Cheers, Szimi

The water drops and low angle are exceptional. Having said that, wish we could see the eye. The shape of the bird is very graphic. Well seen!

I'm with Fabs on this one Having the eye visible would have been great !! Do like the image as presented .... that low angle just makes it for me ... gorgeous bg !!!

.... btw for my laptop I had to special order the glossy screen !! I like it better form images just keep it away from strong lights !!!

A lovely comp, DOF and great action. Also I wish that an eye were visible, though.

Great angle, smooth water, pose and details. The droplets add to it.
